Originating from underground salt springs in Villena, Spain, these hand-harvested salt flakes are dried by the Alicante wind in the Mediterranean sun. The salt flakes are then placed in a closed chamber and smoked for several weeks with burning oak wood. Smoked salt is extremely popular in the Nordic kitchen and adds incredible smokiness to grilled meats and fish. Or add to dressings and marinades.
